Omg I haven't been on here in so long! I only got on here in the first place bc of online schooling and most other socials being blocked on our chromebooks. Lowk a bunch of these posts didn't age well but it is what it is. Like I don't disagree with anything per se, just would've phrased some stuff differently. Anyway, I actually never used this site for interacting with other people, it kind of felt like a ghost town so I was just yapping for fun, but maybe now I'll see what others are up to.
Okay, so I’ve been in the Sanders Sides fandom basically since it’s inception. It’s been several years now. The fandom is pretty decently sized and I follow a good amount of content creators for the fandom on insta. While the fandom has been going pretty strong, the content for said fandom unfortunately hasn’t. I could do a whole rant on why this is and how they should change it but I’d rather talk about technoblade so that part’ll have to wait.
Anyway, since canonical content for ss has become few and far between, people naturally became involved in other fandoms as well. One of the main ones was unnus annus. I was planning on getting into that one once the series had ended and I could binge it in full. That didn’t really work our for me so I never bothered to try after that.
The next most popular (aside from those already popular before the great sanders sides drought such as steven universe) was the dsmp, or dream smp, basically just a bunch of nerds roleplaying on minecraft.
This didn’t really appeal to me, mostly because I don’t play minecraft but also because I was really confused on the lore and characters and stuff, and one time I saw people commenting about how much content there was for it and how they’d hate to be new to the fandom trying to catch up. I was kind of intimidated basically and decided to pass and focus more on my older fandoms, like dc and star trek.
Big mistake tbh, I’m getting into it now years down the line from even then and there’s so much. Although I’ve been watching compilations mostly so it’s like getting all the good parts without any of the commitment y’know. The main thing I regret about passing before is just that I’m so into it now, like obsessive into it and I really could have had a head start on that. It’s only been a few days and it’s all I can think about atm.
What ended up getting me into it was my sister basically. She does play minecraft and watches minecraft youtubers and stuff, and she was watching technoblade’s great potato war video so I watched it with her.
I’ve been watching basically exclusively dsmp (specifically technoblade) content since then tbh. Like the videos are so cool, and technoblade’s rly funny and is so good at the game it’s amazing even to me even though I haven’t played really. TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES
I’ve also been watching some wilbur. I do mean to get into the rest of it all eventually but atm I’m basically only watching technoblade and wilbur. Both of their content is just so good. And Wilbur is so fucking attractive, holy shit he’s so hot. I want that man to ruin my life fr ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. He is so fine. Like he’s so cute, and his laugh is so nice, and he seems so sweet to the other dsmp members and stuff. And how he talks to technoblade and stuff like ahhh idk he just seems so sweet and have I mentioned how fucking fine he is????

You know another thing that's crazy about Brain? He literally doesn't give a shit about how he takes over the world. I don't think he ever even took the time to define what that would look like for him. Sometimes he wants to have enough influence so people want to follow him by choice, other times he wants to be the ultimate ruler so people legally have to follow him with no choice, sometimes he's okay having someone else be a puppet ruler while he makes all the real decisions, sometimes it just looks like getting a powerful enough office that he's functionally the ruler of the world even if it doesn't look that way, in one episode he wants to throw everyone else off the earth so it's only Pinky and himself left, making him ruler by default!! Maybe he'd have been more successful if he'd defined his goal better :/ come on brain this is goal making 101
Squishmallows
Feb. 8th, 2021 12:02 am I can't believe I just did an entire six minute speech on my love of stuffed animals (with an emphasis on squishmallows) FOR A GRADE!!! IN A COLLEGE CLASS!!! I'll update with the grade I got but tbh college is a joke. I had to do most of it (writing and all) in the span of like three hours bc I couldn't access the instructions from my laptop and didn't even think to check my phone until it was almost due. I think I did a pretty good job but I really could have polished it off and smoothed the rough edges if I'd had more time. The main issue was I stuttered a bit, and I think it would have been better if I had it memorized rather than reading it. I also could have integrated more of the techniques we learned into the speech, but considering the time crunch I was on I think it was pretty acceptable. A for effort at least, we'll see what I actually get on it tho. It's worth like a quarter of my grade too haha.
Brain is so Honest
Feb. 7th, 2021 12:23 am Something I find so hilarious in Animaniacs (the nineties one at least, I can't remember if they do this in the reboot) is how Brain will just fucking tell people that he's trying to take over the world. Like, even when he's barely prompted. A human will just be talking to him, and then say something, and Brain will just go 'we are evil mice trying to take over the world'. Is this his version of a villain monologue since he only really rants to Pinky and so has never really gotten the chance to reveal his nefarious plans to anyone else? Is it because he thinks they're so below him he doesn't even need to worry about it? Is it because his singular motivation is world domination and he doesn't even see the harm in telling people he's an evil mouse? I know that the humans often shrug it off as a joke or say something along the lines of 'well my fault for asking I guess' like he's being sarcastic, but what on earth is Brain's thought process behind this???
Animaniacs Theme

I'm trying to apply to jobs and it isn't going so well :( (btw I have a job rn I just hate it a lot). Snagajob for some reason won't work, and when I look up jobs near me on Google a lot of them are already taken or something so idk why they even still show up. Never make my mistake and work at a McDonald's I hate it there so much.

Wakko's Wish

The Voltron fandom is probably the worst case of 'treatingfanonlikeit'scanon-itis' I've ever seen. Like stop your whining already nothing you're angry about was ever going to be canon stfu and accept your fanficition as tribute. I'm so glad I was never that involved with the fandom, it's so toxic and has upset me more than every fandom I've ever been a part of combined.

Pinky and the Brain
Feb. 2nd, 2021 02:33 am I wish people who ship Pinky and the Brain would treat it like an au :/ like yeah it's kind of cute but also their friendship is hella abusive?? Like Pinky even acknowledges it in the first episode of the reboot. Yes I totally see it but seeing content for it makes me kind of umcomfy. Like I won't tell anyone how to live their life and if you ship it all power to you, but I feel like there's so much you have to overlook to feel okay with shipping them and I don't think I'm even capable of glossing over everything that's happened between them. Maybe if you can see Brain's physical abuse more in the realm of a playful slap type of thing?? But he's also chucked him out windows and stuff?? Like I want to just be okay with it and immerse myself in the cute parts but it's proving quite the challenge.
To be honest, something about people headcanoning Dot as trans doesn't sit right with me. It mostly stems from the fact that she's the Warner sister specifically. Why don't people headcanon Yakko as a trans man, or Wakko for that matter (I know the majority of people headcanon him as enby, but no one really presents him as a trans man or actually wanting to present his gender differently to how he does in canon). It's the same with people who headcanon Wonder Woman as a trans women, but not Batman or Superman as trans men. It feels like a different flavor of sexist to me to be honest. Like why do you see the leading woman as trans but not the leading men? It feels like they're saying a penis is a prerequisite to being a strong character or something. Idk, just something about it feels really wrong to me. Not the transgender part in and of itself, I personally headcanon Wakko to be a demiboy and could totally see Yakko as a trans man, but it feels really off when people see Dot as a trans woman and the other two as being cis.
I'm really sorry if this offends anyone, and this isn't directed to the people who headcanon this necessarily, just the practice of singling out the woman in shows to be trans. If you headcanon Dot to be trans please think about any subconscious reasons this may have happened, examine any biases, and think about other female characters you see as trans and try to identify a pattern. Of course it's okay to headcanon girl characters as trans, I just think it's an issue that I've seen a pattern of singling out Dot as being trans.

The only bad part is I don't have either version completely memorized (2020 or 1993) so the version in my head is a mishmash of both and in that way it's kind of annoying.

He acts really ashamed of himself when he finally comes out to his siblings, only for Dot to be like 'it's no big deal silly, and you weren't really hiding it well' and Wakko to act really supportive.
This also prompts Wakko to come out, because he hadn't really felt the need to before Yakko did. He realized this was something important to Yakko and would probably help him a lot, so he told them he's a queer demiboy. Yakko and Dot are really supportive of Wakko's identity and will correct anyone who misgenders them, and if the person doesn't start correcting themself you can bet Yakko and Dot will make their life hell, even though Wakko insists it's not that big of a deal.
This causes Yakko and Wakko to look at Dot, who then tells them she's cishet. They don't insist on her exploring other sexualities or even ask if she's sure, because if Dot changes her mind she'll tell them and she's not really someone who could stand to be in the closet for very long anyway. She thinks it's funny when people insist she's a lesbian, but quickly gets upset when someone says something about it to a guy she likes.

Wakko: Demiboy, uses he/they. Attracted primarily to girls and feminine or androgynous enbies, considers himself queer/unlabeled
Dot: Cishet and very feminine, but fiercely supportive of her brothers (Wakko is okay with brother and sibling) and will 100% murder anyone who doesn't respect them, a very aggressive ally. If you say something homophobic or transphobic to her brothers her sledgehammer will be the least of your worries :)
